At the Royal Conservatory of Music in Ghent Henk Soenen obtained a first prize of Harmony, the Superior Diploma of clarinet and chamber music and a Master Degree of clarinet, next to the necessary pedagogic certificates. At the College of Arts, Utrecht he received a certificate of orchestra conducting.
He participated in masterclasses for clarinet by Freddy Arteel (Belgium), Sjef Douwes (The Netherlands), Jerry Farmer, Howard Klug, Don Oehler (USA) and Andrew Marriner (UK). He studied conducting with Kenneth Montgomery and Peter Eötvös and played in various ensembles and orchestras.

Jan Lust started his music formation at the music school of Oudenaarde. Subsequently he studied piano at the "Lemmensinstituut" in Leuven (Louvain) with Alan Weiss and obtained a Master Degree as well as the Superior Diploma for piano. At the same time he obtained a Master Degree in chamber music and studied song accompaniment with Werner Van Mechelen.
Afterwards, during one year, he studied in scholarship at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv (Israel) with Viktor Derevianko. At masterclasses home and abroad he studied with E. Picht-Axenfeld, M. Perahia and A. Lubimov.
As a soloist and chamber musician and as an accompanist he performed in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Israel, Lithuania and Nigeria.
Besides his work with Grupetto, he plays with the brass quintet High Five, the flute player Sarie Lust and soprano An Jansens.

Jo Vercruysse was raised in a musical family and got the love for music from his father Paul, trombonist, conductor of several orchestras and teacher at the Kunstacademie Waregem.
At the Royal Conservatory of Music Brussels Jo studied violin in the class of the Hungarian pedagogue K. Sebestyén and chamber music in the class of A.Van Lysebeth. In 1988 he graduated with great distinction.
He started his career as a violin teacher at the Kunstacademie Waregem. He supervised several talented violinists until the start of their professional training at a national or international conservatory.
While teaching at the Kunstacademie Waregem, he expanded a successful career as professional performing musician. In 1999, the famous Belgian violinist Rudolf Werthen invited him to play in the world-renowned chamber orchestra 'I Fiamminghi'. With this orchestra Jo toured worldwide during many years. As ambassador of Flanders ‘I Fiamminghi’ was invited to perform at the World Expo in Sevilla in 1992 (Spain).
As a soloist he has a rich repertoire from baroque to contemporary style. Highlights include his solo performance of compositions by Arvo Pärt at the ‘Festival of Contemporary Music’ at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, his performance of Max Bruch’s Concerto in g minor and W.A. Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante.
Jo is a well-respected concertmaster in the Belgian music landscape. In this position he worked with the Chamber Orchestra Prima La Musica since 2001 and for 17 years he had a permanent concertmaster position at the Flanders Symphony Orchestra. He has been invited frequently as a guest concertmaster at the Belgian National Orchestra, Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie and the Flemish Opera. Jo is considered one of the leading Belgian violinists.
He is founder of Music for Kids Leuven vzw, an organization for creative music education.
Jo plays a contemporary violin, made by the luthier Stefan-Peter Greiner, one of the most prominent violin makers of the 21st century.
